Random event!!

Finally back from JB, the city which ppl complained of the highest criminal case in Msia..

Though the working trip is abit tiring, i still feel JB is a nice place to go and i especially love the food there!! Muar is another small place but packed with good food too..So generally Johor is nt that scary as i always heard from ppl..and the food is good though abit pricey in JB.

I m supposed to sleep right now as i m super duper tired after four nights of 6 hours sleep!! But i have not been blogging for one week and the blogging "desire' is attacking me right now.

So i will blog about the random events (or i would say Food hunting!!) after i m back to msia

1st Stop:

Dragon-I in One utama!

The dumpling(jiao zhi) and fired carrot cake are good!!

Environment and service are good too..definitely will go back..

2nd Stop:

Steamboat in Mei zhi, Puchong

I am not a steamboat fans but the sauces provided here and the shabu-shabu really fresh!!

Jogoya, the most popular buffet in Msia

Almost all the online makan blogs will have review on this buffet as they claimed this as the top buffet in Msia. Why? as it has the most varities of food (13 food counters if i m nt mistaken?).

Ranging from the popular jap food; seafood eg. abalone, lobster, fishes, crabs ; dim sum ; teepayaki; cookies; desserts; fruits; western food; grilled food and etc..

It is very worth it when we visited as they had special promotion(the 2nd persononli rm 9.90 which normally is rm 78) i would think that it is not worht it for small eaters if pay at normal price..

Awesome birthday dinner in Hogs Breath!!

Yesterday night celebrated kor's 24th birthday in one of my favourite steak restaurant in Hobart!! I will say it beats Ball and Chain beatifully as their steak are more tender, juicy, succulent, and their special made sauce is yummy licious!!! But of cos, it is much more expensive than ball n chain too considering the unlimited flow of salad provided in B&C and range of price around 20 to 25 onli..


But for a meat lover esp steak like me, i dont mind spending in Hogs once in a while to pamper myself..The twin tower ordered by my bro is nice too and very worth the price if u r a big eater..

Big Yummy Brekkie ~~ Kickstart of the day!!

Ooo.. Life is good!! Breakfast really matters!!

A good serve of big brekkie really lightens my day simultaneously!!! Even though u have to drag urself out from bed at this early morning.. But the food u got to enjoy will repay all these..That explains why i love to wake up early in morning and have big yummy brekkie every morning!! Breakfast is like my energy source which kickstarts my whole day.. I will super duper GRUMPY if starting my day without a good serve of brekkie...I think many of my frens n family know this very well and so they will stuff me with food when i wake up..

Of cos me myself will not allow my body to go to uni with an empty stomach..

Breakfast is really important to us and so sometimes i dont understand why ppl can skip brekkie and still contineu their days without feeling hungry at all.. I will give u that black face definitely if u take away my brekkie!!! hahaha..

Today i woke up at 7am and dragged my heavy body to dan's place for committee meeting.. But his yummylicious chocolate croissant repays it..haha..Thanks ah pong!!

And being the "wak sik" yin yin, i then went to South Hobart Food Store for their famous EGGs BENEDICT!!! Yeah!! My frens highly recommended this one.. And without failed it does serve a very good serve of eggs benedict..i wil say can compete with the Laundry Machine Cafe in salamanca..needless to mention the Dome's one which failed so badly!! haha..

I remembered the time i had my very 1ST eggs benedict in salamanca which was 2 yrs ago..and i immediately fall in love with it...How i love the thick creamy Hollandiase sauce!!! Heavenly sauce!! haha..

So ppl,if u r looking for good eggs benedict, pay a visit to food store or laundry cafe..You may love it and cant resist urself from them..hehe

Eggs Benedict- My favourite brekkie!! But for good benedict, i will recommend Laundry Machine Cafe in Salamanca. They serve bigger portion and more generous with e hollandaise sauce !!

This is by far the best cafe i found in hobart!!
They specialise in egg brekkie eg. Benedict, Florentine..

But guess what?? this cafe serves vy good lunch too and it is really huge!!

This is called FAT BOY..haha..interesting name right?? It is like western roti chanai..roti wrapped with bacon, ham, chk breast and tomato with peanut tangy sauce and abit chilli sauce beside!! I m hungry now..hehe.Strongly recommended!!

And gals, if u want to try this, pls share as it is super duper filling~~~ $16.50

My 22nd Birthday!!!

Wow!! I m seriously sleep deprived now due to the series of events started from last thursday!!

First of all, Thanks God for placing the numerous angelic frens around me who never failed to warm my heart! U all can never understand how grateful i am to all the big n little stuffs u guys did. Also special thanks to my sweetest ever brothers for organising the "surprise" party, the bakers (Rebecca, jade, Eva) for the wonderfully made cakes, the lovely gifts; and all the people who came and celebrated this special day with me..and of cos the messages u guys drop for me!!

At 12am, my 22nd birthday celebration officially ended with a toast with champagne.

Officially 22 year old now!! i feel old..hahaha

2ND Day of Home Alone!!!

Haha..i had never been home alone until these few days (hehe..i know u will say i m too pampered but who dont wan to be pampered??) These few days, i received so many msg and most of them are like: "Poor thing, they all left u and went to GC..u okie to stay alone?? need any help?"

Eh, do i really look so weak n helpless?? Ppl used to think that i m a vy dependent person and always being pampered like a princess.. but seriously i went thru some hard times which i think i am a tough gal le..hehe..(self praise..)Onli He knows!

But anyway i really appreciate all the concerns and companies which i had. Today had a nice breakfast n chat with alicia n then a yummy licious lunch in KAWASEMI with ying qi and alicia. We had lots of talk on relationships(hehe..gals talk..) Kawasemi is an authentic jap restaurant in Moonah which runs by a jap couple..It is the best jap restaurant u cna find in hobart and lunch today satisfies my cravings for japanese food!!

Okie shall back to my original topic!!

Saw these recipes and was really inspired to make these for my loved ones.. Hopefully can keep my promise and manage to make them in this month..so far i made Okonomiyaki in connect night yesterday and i m pretty satisfied with the outcome.. even though doesnt look so nice compared to the picture..but considering this is 1st trial i give myself 8/10 !! Yeah!!

Melb Trip 2!!!

Still 1st Day of melb:

After dinner in Sambal Kampung, we went to Crown Casino for a walk. Outside casino, there is a bridge where many couples spend their sweet moments together. But we the nosiy bunch of ppl had interupted this romantic area..hehe..must be a let down for the couple le..

Then we went to supper inn(which shown in previous post)..This small restaurant opens from 6pm till 5.30am if i m nt msitaken..their porridge are well known but the service not so good as each of us has to spend at least $10 for the meal..This is abit not fair as :Eh, supper time leh, how to eat so much?? somemore one big bowl of porridge costs onli $6.50 which means we have to add in more appetizers or drinks to reach the quota..It's weird le..Anyway, i think they have their own consideration too, if not many ppl will just hang around in the restaurant without eating much, and they wont be able to make a profit out of it.. Maybe they can lower to $5 each person??

We didnt gamble in casino but fooling around there..hehe.

Melb trip during swine flu attacks!!

Today the result is out but for my course, most results onli out when uni starts..argh..i hope to check it by today even though it may turn out bad.. I had been slacking alot in this short two weeks holiday le..Basically i had been slacking alot in this short two weeks holiday even though i shud be working on my assignment which is due on next friday..oh yin yin..u shud definitely get started le!

haha..okie..when 2nd sem starts, i shud really get motivated and study CONSISTENTLY as this sem is the hardest sem with the heavy loads of units.. and also most seniors told me that they either failed or resit in this sem..Lord, i pray hard that i wont be the one!!
Okie, back to my post: Yes Melbourne trip!!

1ST DAY!!

we reached in melb airport at 1.30pm and took a maxicab to Essendon DFO.. Shopping spree!!! but to my surprise, i hardly bought anything, onli a light pink beanie and a shirt...is it that i lost interest in shopping or the sutffs at that moment really not appealing?? i hope for the latter one..hehe..i m happy as alicia told me that she likes the tops i chose for her..yeah!!

Dinner: we wanted to have dinner in spicy szechuan restaurant in chinatown but as there were 7 of us, we had to prebook first. so then we went to Sambal Kampung which served malaysia dishes..

i ordered Beef rendang and i regretted after few scoops as the heavy coconut taste made me very "jialat" even though the taste was not bad..i will not say this restaurant is good compared to others i had tried(of cos even worse if compared to msia ones) so this will not be my option again at my next visit to melb..

I am Not paranoid!!
