Last week went with a bunch of goof frens to the infamous cradle mountain for a short three days relaxing trip..
Though devonport is not the place which i will want to stay but i will be more than happy to stay there once in a while for a weekend getaway.. as it is a place which u can totally be refreshed and de-Stressed too!!
FRIDAY:
Three cars departed from hobart at 5pm and arrived in launnie at around 7.30pm We thought we could have sushi buffet in one jap restaurant but to our disappointment, we were told that buffet will end in 15 min and we can onli get one round of serve. buffet will not be called Buffet if just one aorund of serve allowed right?? So we ended up eating in food court at next door.
In food court got to know the "hygiene" story of one of the chinese stall called East ocean..This stall appeared on tv before that the chef actually rewash and recook the leftover meats in bainmarie..Yucksss!!! Where are their moral values??
After quick dinner, continued our drive to devonport which is 1.5 hours away.
Upon reaching, we were warmly welcomed by sherwin's landlord, JOHN who stay alone in the house. He is super cool engineer with all the interesting puzzles and loads of dvds in living room. He even made a book listing all the movies he had..and we had hard time choosing which movie to watch..So cool!! We chose Ghost Busters to watch, a very old comedy which the storyline is good but bad production casts..
Saturday
Yeah!! After breakfast in McDonald( cos all the bakeries not opened yet), our cradle mt trip officially started! We used up 3 hrs in return for the supposed-to-be 1.5hrs lookout hike.
So peaceful isn't it?
We conquered it!!
unfortunately, sherwin's car's time belt died off and they had to call a truck. Sherwin then rented a car from airport to go back to hobart..
Woke up early to go to Tasmazia Maze in Shefield but to our disappointment (or maybe rebecca's biggest disappointment..hehe) we cant enter the maze as it was raining heavily and the muddy place was flooded..
So while waiting in the car outisde maze, she sang to entertain me and esther...haha..
We went to Westbury , a small rural town but did nothing there..except few pic by roadside..haha..crazy asians...
For lunch we went to a dim sum restaurant in Launnie for an expensive lunch!!! According to sherwin, we saved up $18 for not going to maze and so shud be happily spend it for the yum cha!! haha...I got to eat my favourite spareribs, red bean pastries and egg tart though it is exp!!
